The Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA) -- Depository Library (DL) Unit announces volunteering opportunities. Successful candidates will undergo a two-week training followed by a two-month volunteering period. Duties and Responsibilities: •Help in the coordination and organization of DL events and activities. •Assist in the DL Events organizing. •Representing the DL and other International organizations in most events organized by the BA--DL. •Answer users inquiries according to the BA customer services standards. •Provide guidance on library use. •Assist library users in identifying and finding library materials. •Provide intensive search assistance for researchers. •Perform shelf reading. •Assist in the collection development and management. Requirements: •University degree in following disciplines: Political Science, Business, Accounting, Economics, Applied Sciences, Law, English Studies. •Graduate of the academic years 2011/2012, 2012/2013 or 2013/2014. •Full-time availability during library opening hours; including weekends and official holidays. •Good command of Arabic and English languages (knowledge of another language would be an asset). •Computer literate (ICDL certificate is preferable). •Public Relations (PR) related skills’ experience is preferable. •Customer service skills. •Good communication skills. •Teamwork skills. •Dedication to continuous learning and acquiring new skills How to Apply: CVs should be sent to [email protected].
