The Big Bang - The proof of Gods Creation The prevailing theory of cosmic origin prior to the Big Bang was the steady state which argued that the universe has always existed, without a beginning that necessitated a cause. But recent discovery of 14-billion-year-old echoes (gravitational waves) of the universes first moments gave the Big Bang theory a big boost. Less than a trillionth of a second after the Big Bang, scientists believe, the universe expanded faster than the speed of light in an event called inflation. This new evidence strongly suggests that the universe has not always existed. If the universe indeed had a beginning, there had to be an agent, a Supernatural Agent or Superintellect that caused it. And nothing or no one could have ever done such unimaginable and mind-boggling inflation except for the One stated in Genesis 1:1, In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. As one scientist had stated before, the Big Bang was not a chaotic explosion, but rather a very highly ordered event that could not have occurred by random chance. The Big Bang happened 13.8 billion years ago. Will that undermine my faith? Not at all. For I believe, the Bible was never intended to be a detailed scientific book. It was written to impart a theological message for those who would believe. Hence, to me, the days of creation in Genesis are actually vast epochs.
