Sweeping changes to Accident and Emergency services are being put forward by the medical director of the NHS in England. Professor Sir Bruce Keogh is recommending a two tier system -- with expertise for dealing with strokes and heart attacks concentrated in up to seventy hospitals. The remaining accident and emergency departments -- around a hundred -- would deal with less serious cases. That would potentially mean in a rural county like Suffolk long journey times to one of the regional centres... So what do you want your A and E to be like?
