The Bike of the week was correctly identified by Danny Corigliano Sr. We featured a 1975 Corbin Gentry Electric Bike. This bike has been newly restored. There were a very limited amount of these motorcycles made at the Corbin-Gentry facility in Connecticut, and this particular motorcycle belonged to Malcolm Forbes before it joined our collection. These motorcycles ran on three car batteries, and could top out at a sustainable 40mph for 2 hours on a full charge. This Corbin was originally purchased by Malcolm Forbes in 1975, in response to the gas shortage - it was his intent to use this bike to commute in the event that the gasoline supply worsened.
