The Bitterness Tree Bitterness is like a tree. It has roots and it has branches. Do you remember these when you were growing up? The first time someone shouted at you?How about when you were punished wrongly?And that time you were punished for not knowing what you did wrong. What about those times when your rightful possession was witheld by your parents or anyone else just because of disobedience and the matter ended up in a harsh way? and many more Do you remember when you were about 3 years old or more and your siblings, aunties and uncles thought they were teaching you lessons but in actual fact were creating bitterness in your little mind just because that was the best way they knew since that was how they were brought up Bitterness from the early stage of life-The root cause discovered in nutshell. I bet in our early years remember the punishments and how we kind of turned away from those habits for which they punished us.Now that we have our own blessings(your children), they may be beginning to exhibit some behaviours. Im sure weve tried telling them off in the simplest way we could but because the are children, they would try it again and we would be very upset. This is the bit we have to be careful of. Whatever we do to tell them that they are wrong, please lets make sure it doesnt end in bitterness because despite the fact that they are young, their attitudes are shapened from early stage and they will learn either to be forgiving or unforgiving. The more children we have the more the branches of bitterness unless we have favorite child(Im sure you thought I was going to say the branches relates to the result of bitterness. Not at all).When they start having children too, the cycle begins again from the root until someone among them decides to view ways of bringing children up from a different perspective as opposed to conventional way. Lets endeavour to choose and practice different ways of working it out among our children. Lets try different options if one doesnt work-we are teaching them flexibility Dont give up trying. The model for good behaviour in your home may not work in my home. That doesnt mean youre wrong in the way you are bringing up your cuties and it doesnt equally mean that Im wrong too as long as they are Happy and truthfully happy. Break that Bitterness cycle in your own generation. Uproot that unpleasant tree from the root and dont leave any stone unturned. Its so difficult to do without Jesus Christ the son of God helping you out so please call upon Him and I know He will answer. Lord Jesus Christ thank you for helping us to nurture our children. Please forgive us in any way that we have treated them wrongfully. Cleanse us with your blood and make us whole in Jesus Name. Lord as parents we are all trying our best in the little way we could but we believe in you to help us so today by your special annointing-for it is written in Isaiah 10:27: In that day shall the burden be taken from off our shoulder and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the annointing. I pray that every yoke of bitterness is broken in Jesus Name. It is written:We shall decree a thing and it shall be established. I call upon you Consuming fire according to the book Hebrews to burn every form if bitterness in every one of us both young and old and make us a new creation in you.
