The Blend is a new radio station coming to the Coachella Valley deriving ideas, style and taste from a broad and diverse range of music. We are seeking EXPERIENCED On-Air Personalities/DJS to entertain our radio audience during a given time slot. Candidates chosen will be contacted by telephone to schedule an interview within the next few weeks. Requirements: Previous on-air experience. Duties will include: Entertaining the listening audience in-between music breaks. Produce, write, and narrate programs on the radio. Adhering to the stations format, while taking into consideration song requests from listeners. Conduct live interviews with celebrities, local event coordinators, and listeners. Make personal appearances to promote themselves, a sponsor and the radio station itself. Broadcast during live appearances. Keep track of music and advertiser spots theyve played. Operate equipment. Answer phone calls. Operate central equipment rack. Prepare and/or review public service announcements, underwriting announcements, pre-recorded reports and audio elements, newspapers, and program rundowns. Hold contests and issue prizes to winners. Read news flashes. Give weather and traffic conditions. Deliver sports scores, stats, statistics, and information about upcoming games. Inform public of program sponsors. Announce public service information. Run broadcasting tests. Record commercials.
