The Blessed gift of life is not always an easy one. Nowadays we have nurses who tend to your every need; nurses that care intensely for your health and well-being. Still in the midst of the this sort of pampered situation, the mother is still in excruciating pain. We have the greatest gift of life given to us through the birth of our savior Jesus Christ - a gift though that was denied residency. Without a mid-wife, without a nurse, without an epidural, Mary pushed through and endured the labor of our savior! Even as a grown man -- years into His ministry and after countless miracles -- the king who rode in on a colt and was praised as Hosanna, was denied by His own people and refused refuge in their hearts. Our gift of life is this: to walk a life as Jesus did, to expect a denied vacancy from the hearts of man, to do miracles in His name, and to live a life of persecution, faithfully trusting in His promise of Salvation. The Blessed gift of life is not an easy one, but it IS a blessed one.
