The Blue Jays are certainly out this morning in our neighborhood;t he milder weather has brought them out. I must have seen a dozen or more and noisy they were. When the weather gets colder, I think birds avoid the wind and shelter in more heavily wooded areas. Yesterday,the temp was 47F and the sun was pleasant --after the cold winds of the last few days. Our first measurable snow is due any time now though 120 miles north in LaPorte County they have already had two twelve- inchers because of Lake Michigan, their beautiful precipitation determiner. December surprises await us all.
