The Blyth Kite Festival 2014 went off without a hitch, thanks to - TopicsExpress

The Blyth Kite Festival 2014 went off without a hitch, thanks to the efforts of all of the Kite Flyers from the Kite Club of Scotland (KCOS), Northern Kite Group and the local organisers of the event the North East Kite Flyers. A great array of kites in all guises were kept flying from dawn till dusk (and beyond). Great performances were entertaining the public from teams like the Free Jays, 4 b 2, and local Blyth Flyers the Pallas Family Flyers, as well as individual performances by Graham Lockwood and Ashingtons Josh Mitcheson. We also had flyers come as far away as the West Midlands and Heather Town travelled all the way from Kent just to be with us. Special thanks must go to Blyth Town Council and Northumberland County Council for their help and support, but the biggest thanks of all must go to Peter Heayns for the countless hours of hard work in preparing and running such a large event, almost single handed. And now the work starts for 2015!!!
