The Bnei Menashe, or sons of Manasseh, claim descent from one of the lost tribes of Israel. Their tradition holds that their ancestors were exiled from the Land of Israel by the Assyrian Empire some 27 centuries ago and they wandered throughout the Orient until they reached what is now northeast India, between Burma and Bangladesh. Despite their wanderings for so many centuries, the Bnei Menashe never forgot who they are and where they came from. And they never stopped dreaming of one day returning to Zion. And now God is gathering them in. The Chief Rabbinate of Israel officially recognized the Bnei Menashe community as descendants of Israel a decade ago. With the help of Christians worldwide, more than 2,200 Bnei Menashe are now living in Israel. But about 7,000 remain in India waiting for their chance to come. Give today to the ICEJs Aliyah operations to bring more Bnei Menashe home to Israel > https://int.icej.org/civicrm/contribute/transact?reset=1&id=38
