The BoM have advised of possibly damaging winds for parts of the South Coast, Snowy Mountains and Illawarra districts today, and possibly along the coast of the Sydney Metropolitan, Hunter and southern Mid North Coast districts late today or this evening. Peak gusts of 90 to 100 km/h are forecast to develop in parts of the South Coast, Snowy Mountains and Illawarra districts this morning and may extend to coastal parts of the Sydney Metropolitan, Hunter and Mid North Coast late today or this evening. The NSW SES recommends that in affected areas you park under cover, bring children and pets indoors, ensure loose items like trampolines and garden furniture are secured or put away and check your roof is in good repair. Stay clear of fallen trees, powerlines or damaged structures. If you need emergency help call the SES on 132 500 or 000 if it is a life-threatening emergency.
