The Board would like to set the record straight in relation to an article that appeared in the Non-League paper on Sunday. In the piece written by Sam Elliott on page four of the paper and titled Crisis-hit City given a lifeline. Elliot went onto claim the messy legal dispute came to a head on Wednesday when the High Court sided with Touzer. In fact we never went to court on Wednesday it was Thursday, where we went before the judge at 4pm in the afternoon. Far from siding with Touzer Mr Justice Mann supported our move for several injunctions and in summarising said there was a clear case of theft and fraudulent misrepresentation to answer. This morning Touzer took to his free website and immediately breached one of the injunctions which could be punishable by imprisoment. Elliott also went onto report that a group led by Mark Winter were angered by the judge. In fact, Winter is not head of the investors they are a group of five with no chairman. This is not the first time Elliott has been completely irresponsible in his reporting. A fundamental part of being a credible journalist is to get your facts right, something that clearly eludes Elliott. As a result of this article the club will now seek an apology and damages through their lawyers, IPS Law. The paper, notably Elliott, has been warned before about writing articles that are detrimental to this football club. Clearly the message isnt getting through. While we have no objection to the facts being published. We object to the wrong facts being printed leading to our fans being confused and bewildered
