The Boneo Classic has now come to an end for the dressage riders and what a fantastic event it was! Thank you so much to Fiona and her team at Boneo including the sponsors of this event. It was such an amazing competition to be a part of. Having the show jumping at the same event really brought in more spectators which benefited our sport greatly. I had a go at my first CDI-Y and it will certainly not be forgotten! Leading up to the competition I felt very well prepared. It feels like Ringo and I have really got to know each other. He was full of beans and felt fantastic warming up before each test! On Friday we competed in the team test and achieved a score of 69.3%, winning the class. Everything just clicked, we didnt miss a change, he was in front of my leg and it was mistake free. I was so proud of him and how far we have come together that it even made me cry...and I am sure that it wasnt the first time Ringo has made someone cry from happiness!! The following day we completed another mistake free test leading us to victory with the same score as the day before! Today was the freestyle, and Ringo still had plenty of energy left! I was very happy with the test and scored a very exciting 73%, achieving the winning score. We even got a 74.8% from one judge! For my first CDI-Y I certainly did not expect these results!! Thank you so much to Maree Tomkinson for helping me grow my partnership with the beautiful Rodrigo and my parents for all of their help throughout the competition! Congratulations to all of the TGD team on producing great results throughout the competition. It was so much fun spending time with you all once again! I cant wait for Dressage with the Stars in March where Ringo and I will be competing in Small Tour.
