The Book Warehouse is a major sponsor of the BRWF for 2014 and committee member Linda Wells caught up with Chris Verey, manager of the Coffs Harbour city centre store to finalise details. Before we go any further, it’s a good idea to point out that The Book Warehouse is not just a discount store, which is what some people think. The store is a comprehensive book store with new releases, a wide range of contemporary Australian fiction and non-fiction authors plus a huge selection of the latest childrens books, audio books, a wide range of speciality, unique cards and a range of art supplies. Next time you are in Coffs or Toormina, spend a few minutes to pop in and check out their range. You will notice that all books are in fact discounted from RRP, but it is by no means a discount store (even though the range of discounted books is fantastic). The owner wanted to create a book store where you never pay full price and certainly the books I bought (yes!) were below RRP. When I met Chris in store she, and her team, were busy organising the ordering of all the new releases by authors invited to this years festival and one thing that struck me was all staff were enthusiastic readers (which is what you want in a book store) and all were ready to show me books that Id enjoy and recommend new authors. Make sure you say hi to Chris and her team from The Book Warehouse at this years festival. They will have authors’ books available for you to purchase at the YOUTH HUB on Saturday and Sunday of the Festival. The Book Warehouse chain has two stores in Coffs Harbour (CBD and Toormina), Lismore, Ballina, Yamba and Grafton and their staff will be rostered on over the June long weekend at the Bellingen Readers and Writers festival to ensure you have access to the books our authors will be talking about. Opening hours at The Book Warehouse Coffs Harbour and Toormina - Monday to Wednesday 8.30 am – 5.30 pm Thursday 8.30 am – 7 pm Friday 8.30 am – 5.30 pm Saturday 9 am – 4 pm Sunday 10 am – 3 pm
