The Book of Jasher 1:17 And in some time after, Cain and Abel his brother, went one day into the field to do their work; and they were both in the field, Cain tilling and ploughing his ground, and Abel feeding his flock/ and the flock passed that part which Cain had ploughed in the ground, and it sorely grieved Cain on this account We Know from other scriptures that the Field is the world, Which is Gods Planting field, so here is a picture of 2 brothers, Out in the world, each reaching out for God in their own way, Cain, Through Ploughing the Ground, and Abel, Feeding his flock. The People pass by that part which is ploughed, and follow the shepherd, and it grieves Cain on this account
