The Borough of Union Beach mourns the loss of NYPD officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos who were senselessly murdered on Saturday, December 20th. The governing body of Union Beach stands behind the men and women of the Union Beach Police Department who tirelessly and selflessly protect and serve our community.Today we have ordered our Town Hall to be lit in blue to show our support for the entire law enforcement community. While it is sad that the negative rhetoric portrayed by certain community activists and politicians seems to have bolstered these and other acts against law enforcement, we hope for solidarity and ask that all residents of Union Beach and beyond join us in a show of support for police officers, law enforcement officials and First Responders everywhere by lighting their homes with a blue light now until January 1st.
