The Boshell Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases Research program, based in Auburn University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, is hosting its 8th Annual Research Day Friday, February 13, 2015 at the Hotel at Auburn University, Ala. Research Day is geared towards experts in the field of Diabetes and Obesity research from across the nation, who gather together to discuss and study current trends in diabetes research. This year’s conference includes guest speakers Dr. Steven Kliewer from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dr. Sean Davies from the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, and actor Jerry Mathers, who portrayed “Beaver” Cleaver from the 1950’s sitcom, “Leave it to Beaver,” a diabetes victim and research advocate.
