There Are 2 rests in God. 1st rest Matt. 11 : 28 cross referenced with Romans 5 : 1 encourages us in how to have peace with God. John 1 : 12 reflects our position when we receive Christ as our savior. With complete confidence I can trust and rest assured in the fact that as a child of God I have peace with God without doubt knowing that I am going to heaven (1 John 5:13). 2nd rest Matthew 11 : 29 represents the peace of God resting in the fact that I attend a good Bible teaching Church to learn of Jesus (learn of me) and what He wants Christians to do. To learn more and more of Jesus by growing scripturally to be aware and not fall into the deceptive traps of Satan. Refrain from idleness by studying the scriptures daily (2 Timothy 2 : 15). Learning how Jesus wants us to apply scriptures to the Christian life correctly (2Timothy 3 : 16). Rightly dividing the Word of God so that I lean not to my own understanding. Philippians 4 : 6 - 7 instructs us in the peace of God which surpasses all understanding to keep our hearts and minds through Jesus Christ. To obtain the of peace of God one must attend a Bible teaching Church to learn to rightly divide Gods truths. His yoke is easy and He will not ask you to do anything uncommon or ridiculous in regards to Christianity. Never forget Precious Saints of God to remember that Jesus Christ is forever our rest.
