The ‘Bounce Back to Netball’ (BBN) concept is a legacy - TopicsExpress

The ‘Bounce Back to Netball’ (BBN) concept is a legacy initiative designed by Netball Scotland to respond to the positive impact of our sport on the Scottish public following the Commonwealth Games. Bounce Back to Netball will encourage people of all ages and abilities over the age of 16 to participate in regular fun, safe and affordable netball sessions which will have a positive impact on health and well-being. They are 60 minute fun sessions providing a gentle introduction or re-introduction to the sport of Netball. Many of our existing clubs, local authorities, corporate businesses and community groups already provide opportunities for recreational netball and we want to build on their good practice to empower people to bounce back to netball. All Bounce Back Netballers will be asked to join Netball Scotland on their second week of coming along to Bounce Back sessions at a cost of £10, this ensures you are covered by insurance and gets you an exclusive Bounce Back t-shirt as well as other netball discounts. Netball Scotland RDM, Sally Carns is piloting the scheme in Grampian with a number of centres as per below: Monday- Alford Academy 630pm-730pm 8th September-20th October £3 per session Thursday- Mearns Community Campus, 700pm-800pm 11th September- 20th October £3 per session Thursday- Rosemount Community Centre, 8-9pm, 11th September- Ongoing £5 per session Friday- Mile End Primary, 730pm-830pm, 12th September- 17th October- £ 3 per session If you are interested or would like further information on setting up Bounce Back in your area please contact bounceback@netballscotland
