The Brick - Corporate Office - Operations Manager - was the person I was directed to from the Charlottetown Brick Store (which is now under new management, which is a fancy way to say, it isnt owned by anyone, the store belongs to the Corporate Office). I did email this person, and I didnt get a reply. Now, with everyones encouragement, I am wondering what the Better Business Bureau would think about the Brick selling items with a one year warranty, and not honouring it within the one year. Is this not illegal? Or just bad business? How many people have to be screwed over before something is done? I dont want anything special, I just want what I paid for. A sectional couch, with a one year warranty. If it is defective within the one year, fix it properly, or replace it. Dont tell your customers, TOO BAD, NOTHING ELSE WE CAN DO FOR YOU. Manufacturers Warranties and The Brick 1 Year Furniture Repair Warranty The Brick is pleased to honour manufacturers warranties on our products, and in the cases of some furniture manufacturers who do not offer a warranty, The Brick provides a 1 year repair warranty on defects on your purchased furniture item. To inquire, call the Store nearest you within the manufacturers warranty period, The Bricks 1 year warranty period, or within The Bricks extended warranty period purchased and, if, after inspection by a qualified Quality Control Technician, defective components or workmanship are found in the construction of the item, the item will be repaired at no charge. If Brick technicians do not service your area, we will have an authorized Service Technician in your area inspect the toods or arrange to have them brought to one of the Brick stores for inspection. Customers who have received their delivery via a contracted third party carrier will be responsible for shipping costs back to the nearest Brick location. If you receive damaged or defective product, please contact us within 3 days of receipt of the item(s). For warranty to be in effect, products must have been used for its intended purpose through normal use. Defects resulting from negligence, misuse, accidents, discolouration from light or sunlight, abnormal wear and tear, fading or shrinkage of any fabric, or if used for commercial purposes are not covered by warranty. Home Furnishings Fabrics are warranted for 1 year against seam failure and separation only unless specifically stated otherwise by the manufacturer. The Brick will investigate any fabric failures within the warranty period. Fading, pilling, shrinkage, discoloration from light or sunlight, and shading are characteristics of certain types of fabrics and are not considered defects. Vinyl is not covered under warranty against tearing or cracking. As-Is Purchases All As-Is purchases carry the same warranty as new merchandise with the exception of defects and/or damages on the item at the time or purchase.
