The Bristol Food Connections Festival is coming to Bristol city centre in May and they are looking for volunteers! This 11 day food festival will start with the BBC Food & Farming Awards and includes two weekends packed full of food-related family activities. Our mission is to enthuse, educate and inspire families to cook and eat better with affordable, achievable and inspirational recipes. This is a free event and has learning and fun at its heart. We’re looking to recruit a team of cheerful, enthusiastic event volunteers who are keen to get involved and support the main event team. Volunteers must be aged 18 or over. Roles on the day include running hands-on, family-friendly activities, working in our Radio Theatre on live and pre-recorded broadcasts, collecting tickets, stewarding, managing queues and answering queries from the public. It’s essential that you have strong inter-personal skills and plenty of energy as you’ll be dealing with the public and will be on your feet for most of the day. You will gain valuable experience helping out on a large-scale BBC event and meet a diverse BBC audience. Get tin touch for more information!
