The British Embassy in Sanaa is pleased to announce the call for project bids for the Human Rights and Democracy Strategic Programme Fund for financial year 2015-16. The fund aims to make a difference to people’s lives by helping to build the capacity of governments and civil society to promote and protect human rights. In Yemen, the thematic priority for the financial year 2015-16 will be: “Strengthening democratic processes” – specifically on civil society organisations “Women’s Rights” - specifically on Child Marriage, and other topics in line with the National Dialogue Outcomes Project proposals should consider how best to help support the implementation of NDC outcomes and the wider the political transition. Projects should be ready to commence in April 2015 and must be completed by end February 2016. We will fund projects up to a value of £150,000.
