The British High Commissioner to Zambia, James Thornton, addressed the 2014/2015 Commonwealth Scholars at a pre departure event for 17 scholars yesterday. In his speech, he narrowed his advice to 5 key points. 1. Work hard/study hard 2. Play hard 3. Meet a Brit 4. Get out and about 5. Bring a coat This year 20 ‘lucky’ Zambians are recipients of the Commonwealth Scholarship award; one of the most prestigious scholarships in the world.
