The British invasion of the Philippines,is a lapse in the countrys colonial history.However,it did go unresisted,when Manila became under British rule for 18 months,and was returned only to Spain in April 1764,after fighting between 6,839 British sailors and 10,000 Spanish and Filipino troops,caused another round of miseries to the country.That also became known as the Rape of Manila as narrated by two American historians named Shirley Fish and Tracy Nicolas, as part of the domino effect of Europes Seven Years War between Britain and France and their colonial contest.
