The Brocks Hill volunteers are working on site all week completing a lot of tasks to help improve Brocks Hill. They will be working alongside the rangers who have various machinery available to help out. This week they will be building a new raised bed at the front of the building, which will soon become home to a new butterfly sculpture (sponsored by the Friends of Brocks Hill); building raised beds which also be championed by volunteers from the Leicestershire Master Gardeners; helping reprofile the Friends memorial mound and also improving the farm track that leads from oak avenue to the top field (which is also being seeded with wild flower seed this week). If you have a few hours to spare and would like to help the volunteers they work 10-3.30 each day - with oodles of tea and coffee provided and they warmly welcome new people each week.
