The Bronze Age: 2500BC to 800BC The Bronze Age is characterized by the use of Copper & bronze for the creation of tools and jewellery, and also the widespread adoption of agriculture which was begun in the Neolithic period. Farming and the creation of Villages became the way of life. The Construction of large Megalithic monuments such as Avebury and Stonehenge began in the late Neolithic period, but continued to be built, altered and used throughout the Bronze age.
