The Budget as currently being discussed presents defense at 55% of Gross Domestic Product. Are we as a society really ready to demonstrate the repugnance of turning our back on the parents of our friends, the generation that provided us the opportunity of freedom, education and the technology that we have at our disposal today? By simply reducing Defense by 5%, we could fund those costs and childhood education.
