The Buganda Kingdom, and the larger Uganda will definitely join my list of Must-Visit-Again Places. Im yet to find a country in East Africa, and the larger expanse of West and Central Africa, that is richer in culture and historical preservations. To still have a respected and recognized King in the 21st Century, or witness a flowing glory of the still existing Bugandan Parliament (also known as Lukiiko), to have Royal Soldiers on the National Governments payroll protecting the King is a bigtime affair. But nothing amazed me more, than witnessing the excesses of man, in his pursuit of self-gratification. The Idi Amin Torture chambers where more 200000 Ugandans lost their lives is a true mark of where Uganda has been as a nation. It speaks to Us Kenyans, of what we could be, if we let our differences go unchecked. It tells us that we arent any better than the Ugandans, we just dont need to learn from our own mistakes, to make the future count. We can use their experience. #LookingEastAfrica
