The Building Committee invites you to participate again in the disassembly of the Shul’s Sukkah, on Sunday morning October 6th,at 8:30 a.m. Coffee and doughnuts will be served. T Shirts will be given to all volunteers who have not yet received one whole supplys last. Community service will be given to all volunteering teens. Join us in the Panel Room, Tuesday evenings, October 1 through November 5, 8:30 p.m. as Rabbi Ginsburg introduces us to the World of Philip Roth. The main text for the course will be his breakout collection –Goodbye, Columbus: and Five Short-Stories. The series is free and open to the public. See the flyer on the credenza for further information. Pa’am B’Chodesh programs are back! The first program of 5774 will be on Sunday, October 20. Spend the morning exploring the Five Towns with Rabbi Ginsburg, highlighting the neighborhood’s Jewish treasures. For further information see the flyer on the credenza. Sisterhood will hold their first book club meeting of the New Year on Thursday, October 24. The book to be discussed is “The Art of Fielding” by Chad Harbach. The first PJ Library kickoff program “Books, Bits and Bites” will be held on Sunday October 27, 10:30 a.m – 11:30 a.m. led by Kathy Buchsbaum. It is open to all families and children. It is a free program sponsored by the Grinspoon Foundation and Congregation Sons of Israel. Children ages 6 months – 8 years of age receive a free age appropriate Jewish book monthly.
