The CAG has come out heavily against CDA and BDA for dereliction of their assigned duties. It has also indicted the IDCO for rampant deviation from the rules and objectives for which it was formed while issuing NOC to private companies to mortgage leased out land. It is a fact that CDA has become defunct when large number of buildings come up with out approved plan by the Town Planning body, now with the CDA. BDA has given plots of land to IAS officials, High Court Judges, political bigwigs in violation of the rules. The Builders have constructed buildings in violation of basic norms set by BDA Rules and that too with impunity.
