The CANONIZATION of EBORA OWU into the pantheons of the Saints is fully underway.Fair is fair. OBASANJO had some landmark achievements while in the saddle, but his litany of sins against the country to me far outstrips his legacy of goodies. Fact is he ruled the country during a relative PEACE TIME,unlike PGEJ who I see more as a WAR TIME PRESIDENT. I am not here to do a rehash of old wounds. Same Nigerians that railed against OBJ for his excesses in ODI and ZAKI BIAM would want an ODI treatment in BOKO Haram -infested area! This is my beef. Why rubbish OBASANJO then,and now be celebrating same man for a clinical work?Same hypocritical career critics of ANY GOVERNMENT IN POWER(AGIP) who breathed down OBASANJOs government, are at the forefront of this effort to whitewash OBJ. How on Gods green earth will anyone say Obasanjo was more tolerant of dissent in spite his avalanche of arm twisting and dictatorial tendencies. The myriads of unresolved politically motivated state sponsored murders can be conveniently forgotten! I take solace in the fact that the new BEAUTIFUL BRIDE on the block once opined SANNI ABACHA was not corrupt! If this is not amnesia and hypocrisy,then someone out there SHOULD give me another Definition of amnesia and hypocrisy.
