The CITY OF OWENSBORO is seeking applicants for the following Full-time, Non-civil service position: MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST Safety sensitive position responsible for maintaining buildings and equipment for all city owned properties, including but not limited to, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry. Responds to work orders; Performs preventive maintenance; Performs facility inspections for planning and budgeting; Oversees contracted work for construction and repair. QUALIFICATIONS: Associates degree in Maintenance or other job-related field OR minimum 2 years work-related experience as Maintenance Specialist or similar position (e.g., welding, carpentry, plumbing, electrical). Equivalent amount of education and/or experience is acceptable. Valid driver’s license required, and valid KY CDL, Class B or higher required immediately after hire.
