The CJ WEATHER ALERT: (Source: pagasa.dost.gov.ph/) WEATHER BULLETIN NUMBER ONE TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING: TROPICAL DEPRESSION SENIANG Issued at 5:00 a.m., Sunday, 28 December 2014 The Low Pressure Area (LPA) East of Hinatuan, Surigao Del Sur has developed into a Tropical Depression and was named SENIANG. Location of Center: (as of 4:00 a.m.) 340 km East of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur Strength: Maximum sustained winds of 45 kph near the center Movement: Forecast to move West at 11 kph. Forecast Positions/Outlook: Monday morning: 60 km East of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur Tuesday morning: 120 km East of Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte Wednesday morning: 170 km West of Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte NO PUBLIC STORM WARNING SIGNAL, as of update time (5:00AM, December 28, 2014) in Visayas and Luzon. PUBLIC STORM WARNING SIGNAL #1(with winds of 30-60 kph expected in at least 36 hours) is raised in Mindanao (Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Agusan del Norte, Agusan del Sur, Davao del Norte, Davao Oriental, Compostella Valley, Camiguin Island, Misamis Oriental and Bukidnon) Mindanao EXPECTED LANDFALL: Monday morning in the vicinity of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur and associated with occasional rains with occasional gusty winds and moderate-heavy rainfall (7-15mm per hour). Estimated rainfall amount is from 7 – 15 mm per hour (moderate - heavy) within the 300 km diameter of the Tropical Depression. Residents in low lying and mountainous areas of the provinces with PSWS#1 as well as the rest of Mindanao are alerted against possible flashfloods and landslides. Fisherfolks and those with small seacrafts are advised not to venture out over the eastern seaboard of Visayas and Mindanao.
