The Cakes :- Come Again keep a everytime a smile “ By D vinod Kumar It was the month of December ,year 2006 the day was a Sunday , and it was almost nearing the year chilly wind blew through out the day , as I looked far from the top of the fifth floor through the window was looking down watching the vehicles and the busy traffic , with a cup of my favourite brand of coffee in hand , thinking to go home or not as it was just five o clock , or to just give a call to a customer and discuss with regarding portfolio management,as the state of market as it was today whether to invest or cover the loss , as every investor is important to us not interms of maintain a perfect relationship with the customer , but also making his investment grow slow and steadily , as I came towards my table and was just going to sit on the chair , all of a sudden the phone rings Hello sir , I said yes , and the voice said my name is xyz , I would like to meet you , and have some ideas regarding investments on stocks , to which I duely said , surely Mr xyz come to the office anytime I would be eagerly ready to help you , as its my onus and responsibility to guide you to make a perfect investments , to which he said in a solemly soft voice bhaiya , I cannot come Mom will not allow me , come to our house I have the trading terminal in my house , to which I again pondered for a minute I thought for sometime may be, a prank call somebody making a fool of me I said sorry xyd I cannot come tommorw I have a lots of appointment for tomorrow ,if you can come I will be glad to help you , then I again thought and asked him xyz who gave you my referral , he said a friend of mine who was working in the same company I was working had refered my name to him , after hearing the name of the friend , I wondered when was also a good technical and sound investor planner why the hell did he refered me I said okay I will come within a week or two , so keeping I kept the phone , I asked my friend the other day did you refer my name to any xyz and he said yes , because you a good advisor on stocks with clinical precison ideas and online expert on graphs so I refered your name , I said okay thanks dear , I will definetly meet him . As it was a cool Saturday morning , with no trading , no investment gyan to anybody , siting along side the coffee shop and discussing about the cricket match with my friend , I asked my friend why waste the Saturday , why not meet Mr XYZ , so I made a call to MR XYZ , I said hello if you are free for some minutes then I could come , to which MR XYZ said I am bit busy , but if you could come in the evening it could be good , I said okay with a smile and took the address of him , and asked my friend to accompany me to the clients home ,with a smile in a face of mine oh if every thing goes out well one more client into my kitty , and boss would be happy . As the appointed time was just approaching , I took all the required papers and documents and kept them in a safe place inside the bag , put down the best dress ever and with the best perfume as first impression is the last impression , rather than becoming a LIFO Last in first out , and me along with my friend went set to meet the client , as my friend was a localite and he had total information about the city , he rode the bike and atlast we reached the client , the lush garden , the big bunglow and the cars all made a beautiful impact upon the mind , as we were about to enter the gate , I remembered something I told my friend buddy the client had said before we enter we need to ring him and then go , so saying I rang up the phone and the client said yes sir please come fifteen minutes Iate I will be reaching home within fifteen minutes , I said okay with a smile , I told my lets have a coffee at the tea shop and wait till mr xyz comes to home , and we waited , as we waited I saw a bakery shop near the tea stall , and was surprised to a beautifully packed cake and on which was written “ COME AGAIN KEEP A SMILE EVERYTIME ” before I could ask a customer came and took away the cake , and left me thinking what was the meaning of it , and before I could ask the phone rang and saw it was xyz ‘ s number and picked the call to which mr xyz said , sir please come I am at home , finally wait was over , we entered xyz s home and was really surprised to see the house beautifully decorated and but could not find xyx except to a arrow mark on the wall saying this side , and we went that side , as we approached the room , smell comeing out of the room of detol and saline bottle lying here and there , to which I said have come to an hospital , to which he said stop joking , and both smileing as we entered the room , for a moment my eyes was left wide open , there was a hospital bed surrounded by moniters on all sided with a saline stand , and there lay my client with a brilliant smile as ever , saying in a low voice , here is my computer and the trading link can you just set the online charts for me , and we sat hours together analyzing stocks , I was quiet surprised by his investment ideas , and the canny smile he gave when it came some brilliant questions on some stocks , it was a evening which will be remembered for ever , as his mother said you really brought a smile into the face of my child who has broken his spine while jusmping from the dash board and now fully bedridden and with a very young age losing time as day passes bye , as we were above to leave , Mr xyz said , bhaiya it was great talking to you , you really brought a smile in my face , to which I said smile and you go miles in life , so saying we came back to our office with a packet which mr xyz had given us , and told me to open only when I am alone , and not infront of him , to which we obliged , and finally after an hour we reached our office I kept the parcel inside the draw of the table , I was quiet restless to open the packet , but I said wait let me reach home then I will see whats inside the packet , but my hands wont allow it , and finally opened the packet , and as looked Inside the packet i was speechless , wordless and tears came out , it was the same cake which I saw at the bakers shop on which was written “ come again keep a smile everytime “
