The Canajoharie Library presents: FLASH FICTION Thursdays: October 2, October 9 and October 16 11am-1pm Classic story elements of protagonist, conflict and resolution with a limited word count define Flash Fiction. This restriction is used to drive the story forward. It’s a minimalist genre whose power lies in not only what is stated, but also in what is omitted or implied. It drops us into a character’s life, their problems and how they deal with them…all in a Flash. Perhaps the most famous example, credited to Hemingway: “For sale: baby shoes, never worn”. Susannah Risley has developed many creative approaches to writing projects focusing on fiction. She has worked with people from a variety of backgrounds to help them craft their writing and tell stories. Call 673-2314 to register
