The Capital City Half Marathon and 5K will take place Saturday, May 3, beginning at 8 a.m. Street closures will be in place in preparation for this very large event and rolling closures will be in place along the routes. Please plan for delays, consider alternate routes and watch for closures and pedestrian traffic. Participants and guests are encouraged to carpool or use COTA to reduce congestion and parking delays. Road Closures: In preparation for the event, the following roads will be closed to through-traffic from Friday evening, May 2, to mid-day Saturday, May 3: • S. High Street from Rich Street to State Street (Closed 7 p.m. Friday to 2 p.m. Saturday) • E. Town Street from S. Third Street to the Columbus Commons Garage (Closed 5 p.m. Friday to 2 p.m. Saturday) • E. State Street from S. High Street to S. Third Street (Closed 7 p.m. Friday to 2 p.m. Saturday) • S. Front Street from W. Rich Street to W. Broad Street to (Closed 7 p.m. Friday to 11 a.m. Saturday) Expect rolling closures along following routes, especially at the beginning of each race.
