The Carbon brand will now move from a 1-metre corner in lifestyle shops to an 800 sq ft shop in metro cities. However, the company will continue to operate through its shop-in-shops as well. Much brand awareness has been created by the shop-in-shop format. We will add company-owned, franchisee-operated outlets in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune and Chandigarh. Branded jewellery players like Gili, Carbon, and Oysterbay have adopted the shop-in-shop format, while leader Tanishq has stuck to its own retail stores. Carbon is present in lifestyle stores like Shoppers Stop, Lifestyle, Ebony, Pantaloon, Bombay Store and online shops like Fabmall and Rediff. At present, Carbon has about 40 shop-in-shops and covers 12 cities.
