The Carers Association will be monitoring Budget news as it is announced throughout the day. In recent weeks a large volume of questions have being asked on behalf of Family Carers during question time in the Oireachtas. We have contacted a significant number of TDs. These actions are due the campaigning and lobbying work of Family Carers across the country. You have made your voice heard, today we will learn how decision makers have responded. Minister for Finance Michael Noonan’s speech is scheduled for 2.45 with Minister for Public Expenditure Brendan Howlin following that. We will be attending a Department of Social Protection meeting at 5pm where we will seek clarification on any of the Budget changes.
