The Carnegie Arts Centre will rerun ‘Mystery Postcard - TopicsExpress

The Carnegie Arts Centre will rerun ‘Mystery Postcard Exhibition’ in November and December this year. This is a show with a difference as all of the artists who’s work is on show will be kept anonymous, and the show will include work from some very well-known recognized artists both local and from further afield, BUT, also from any member of the public, including schools, who would like to take part and would like their work to be a part of this exciting exhibition. There are three strict guidelines: 1. - work should be no bigger than 6 by 8 inches 2. - no signatures on the front 3. - all work unframed Works can be in any medium – photography, paintings, collage, etc – There is no fixed theme, the only limitation is the size. There will be the same fixed price on each piece of €25, except for our Kiddies Corner for €5. All pieces will be for sale and the artist will effectively be donating their work to the Carnegie as this is a fund raiser that will go towards programming and running costs of the centre. This exposition comes at the perfect time for Christmas gift ideas. The opening of the exhibition will take place on Saturday 15th November, and therefore work must be submitted no later than 8th November 2014.
