The Carnegie Center for Literacy and Learning and the Balagula Theatre Company are joining forces yet again to present the Kentucky Premiere of George Orwells 1984 in the new stage adaptation by M.G.Sullivan, the first US adaptation in 50 years. The performances on March 11 & 12, 8:00 PM (2 Acts / Run Time: approx. 2hrs), are hosted by and benefit Camp Carnegie: Kentucky Imaginarium. Tickets are $20 & $15 for students. They can be purchased at (888)-927-4850 or Online . For the past three years, the Carnegie Center and Balagula have come together to share our love of storytelling and the stage with our rising middle students at Camp Carnegie, which is a series of half-day, one-week summer camps for rising middle school students. The camps are designed to be both hands-on and educational. All camps are led by instructors with field experience in the camp topic and provide academic enrichment in a fun learning environment. In addition to Camp Carnegies Kentucky Imaginarium, the complete list of 2014 Camp topics will be posted on Carnegies Website by March 15. Please support both organizations March 11 & 12 and enjoy a night at the theatre and the reproduction of a literary classic.
