The Cellist write: Reine Flachot. Born in Santa Fe (Argentina) in 1922 and died on 29 October 1998 , was a cellist French. Flachot arrives to France at the age of twelve years old . She began studying with Jean Dumont and Paul Bazelaire . as well as with Gerard Hekking at the Paris Conservatoire. In 1938 she made her debut at age 16 with conductor Paul Paray and the Concerts Colonne in Lalo’s Cello Concerto. She eventually earned the reputation as “the ambassador of the French cello school” and several contemporary concertos were written for, and premiered by, her including those by Emile Mawet, Pierre-Max Dubois, Andre Jolivet, Charles Brown, et al. From 1966 she taught at the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris. The result is a career that will make her an ambassador for the French school of cello for sixty years (Christine Heurtefeux) worldwide, with strong activity in the late 1950s and the early 1970 period from which she will spend a significant transmission of knowledge. During those years, she serves various works by Darius Milhaud (Cisalpine Suite, 1954), Charles Brown (Concerto for Cello and Orchestra, 1956), Pierre-Max Dubois (Concerto for Cello and Orchestra, 1958), Francis Miroglio (Sonata cello and piano, 1961), Emile Mawet (Concerto for Cello and Orchestra, 1965), Aram Khachaturian (Concerto-Rhapsody, 1967), Andre Jolivet (Concerto for Cello and Orchestra, 1971), Henri Sauguet (Cello Sonata, 1972 ) Meanwhile, Queen Flachot is teacher. In 1966, she joined the Ecole Normale de Musique in Paris , which she left in 1970 for the International Music Centre Annecy before the Tokyo University of Arts , Tōhō Gakuen , the wish. She stayed there until 1974, when she joined the Musik Akademie in Basel while taking courses at the ENM of Paris and becoming the first woman professor of cello ( Conservatoire de Lyon ). It ceased operations in 1995, teaching the same year, she gave her last concert in Japan, preferring to withdraw. I prefer, she said then, leave a beautiful picture of me and Im tired.
