The Center Committee for Truth and Transparency would like to make it clear to everyone that it fully supports keeping Yuridia Cendejas on the Center Schools Board of Education. The people who have been collecting signatures to recall her (Sanchez and Varoz included) unfortunately have not been completely truthful about their intent. They have been collecting signatures without telling people what they really intend to do. According to the Saguache County Clerk, the committee trying to force a recall on Yuri has 15 more days to try to get enough valid signatures to do so. This would be a separate election from that which will is already scheduled to recall Sanchez and Varoz, thus costing the school district more money to conduct. In only 1 month our committee was able to collect almost 450 valid signatures against each person to force an election to remove Sanchez and Varoz from the board. They have been working twice as long as this, have had to lie to people to get them to sign, and still have only collected 92 valid signatures. If you are asked to sign such a petition, please tell them no! If you have already signed a petition to recall Yuri, you still have time to ask the Saguache County Clerk to remove your name from it. Attached is a photo of what the petition to recall Yuri looks like and says. She is a good board member, without a hidden agenda, who works cooperatively with others, and who is focused on keeping our schools on a path to improve educational opportunities for our children. Please dont sign any petition you have not read. Please dont be bullied into signing her petition as well!
