The Center for American Women and Politics is hosting a NEW Leadership New Jersey program – a six-day intensive, non-partisan summer institute to teach college women why and how to get political. Each year, NEW Leadership brings a new group of diverse women from NJ colleges and universities to Rutgers. This year, they are going international: visitors from Vietnam will be studying what they do and then starting a version in their country. The program is one of 200 finalists in the State Farm Neighborhood Assist program. If they can be among the top 40 vote-getters between now and May 16, they will be awarded $25,000 to support the program! Voting is entirely on Facebook and each person can vote up to ten times every day. A win for the program would be a great win for Rutgers!
