The Center for International Education is pleased to announce that we are now taking applications for the following short-term, faculty-led program abroad: January Intersession 2014 : This faculty-led program will offer an exploration and study of the arts and culture of Taiwan, consisting of an interactive approach to understanding the history, development, background, and current process of dance, theater, opera, music, calligraphy, fine arts, martial arts, and tai-chi in Taiwan. The academic research of the integration of the arts and culture with the historical, political, economical, and social aspects of Taiwan will permit a fuller engagement and appreciation for this foreign country. The Study Abroad Intersession will promote a more knowledgeable future arts supporter, performer, creator, connoisseur of the arts, and citizen of the world. Students will travel to Taipei as well as to other regions of Taiwan (Hualian, Fuli, Taitung, Liuqiu Island and the Sun Moon Lake region). January 3 to 17, 2014
