The Center is Hiring! Now hiring kennel staff and feline staff. Please come to The Center and fill out an application. Applicants must be available and flexible to work 8 AM - 4PM or Noon-8pm & one weekend day. Minimum wage to start. Must have reliable transportation and be willing to work as part of a team. - Also Hiring Maintenance person, wage negotiable with experience. Maintenance person Job Duties Keep kennels weed free. Hand pull weeds or use a weedwacker or lawn mower that is provided. Remove weeds/grass from around fencing, kennels, buildings and other structures. Prune and trim shrubs and trees as necessary on the walking paths to keep them wide open and safe for people and animals. Sweep sidewalks and keep grounds and parking lots free of trash. Keep areas such as sidewalks, steps and access areas snow and ice free. A snow blower is available. Perform mechanical, carpenter and plumbing maintenance. Install window air conditioners in early spring and remove in late fall. Clean window air conditioner filters at least every two weeks. Replace air filters in four furnaces every month and keep records of those changes. Empty trash, recycle and dog elimination containers. Change light bulbs as required. Replace defective washers and dryers. Repair kennels, fencing and animal areas as required. Maintain storage areas for supplies such as spare washers and dryers, maintenance equipment, lawn equipment, linens and cages. Cannot be afraid of working near animals.
