The Changing of The Guard - September 11th, 2014 55 years ago I first visited Arlington National Cemetery and The Tomb of the Unknown. And, yes, those are my photographs in the opening of this clip. While participating in the 2 Million Bikers to DC to honor all who lost their lives on 9/11, we were forced to move our motorcycles from the Mall, where we were initially instructed to park by Washingtons Finest, to somewhere else. Being that somewhere else had no place to park either, I decided to use the time to visit Arlington National Cemetery just across the river. I only had my GOPRO to capture the solemn Changing of The Guard Ceremony. It is truly a ceremony that reflects perfection. The Sentinels - each a member of the 3rd Infantry Regiment traditionally known as The Old Guard - accepts only perfection in their honor of guarding the Unknown. 24 hours a day. 7 days a week. 365 days a year. Each change is nearly identical to the previous one. While I stayed for two Sentinel changes, I still did not have all the angles to tell a coherent story. Any part of my video that is not marked with 9/11 in the lower right corner was shot and posted on the internet by others. I acknowledge and appreciate their work. When you get the chance to visit our nations capitol, do not miss the chance to experience the perfection and dedication of the Sentinels as they perform their duties. And offer a little prayer for all our service men and women who both made the ultimate sacrifice and those who continue to keep us safe from harm. _______ FOLLOW LIPSapp Hits56 Radio _______ FB: r-js/1rlggeQ / TW: r-js/1us3SdS / Listen to LIPSapp Hits56 Radio r-js/1dOIQ18 #thewho #beatles #elvis #jimihendrix #dylan
