Bernardo Grade 4, LCUP Malolos City, Bulacan The Intranet has been with us since the 1990’s and social networking sites appeared since 2004 and since then the sites called Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr had a great impact on the students’ life, chatting and posts made a change in the eyes of the students. I think it is not right to trust post from anyone who are not very close to you. The posts are sometimes just a farce or fraud and some of them may be true but they came from untrusted sources. The students are giving up books and learning for just Facebook and Twitter, what benefits will you get from that, in addition the students go to computer stations to play a Rated Mature RPG game instead of reading and researching for their homework. I think that the social networks are ruining the students’ life, it is fine to Facebook and Twitter, just make sure you do your studies before you play or go to chats in Facebook and Twitter. Facebook Inc. implemented groups for their site, there are educational groups and sometimes entertainment groups, there Facebook wanted to make people learn a little bit more rather than play their games. I think this is where I like Facebook because I’d rather learn than play their games. Twitter never changed and it’s the worst of my dislikes because you only look at tweets of people who played whatever or did whatever, it’s boring! Reddit is one example of social networking sites, if Google is where you go to search for things, then Reddit is where you go that other people have found. Reddit has a tonne of things especially like a comment system. I think that Reddit has one of the best comment systems even though there are no editors in that site. Reddit has a bot that sorts the comment forum depending on the vote. I think I could compare it with balloons, a up vote adds a little bit of helium while the down vote does the opposite, periodically Reddit puts weight on the balloons, giving a new link to compete with the older ones. I think this is the world of chatting.
