The Cherokee County Democratic and Republican parties are co-hosting forums and debates for Tahlequah city mayoral and city council candidates. The mayoral candidate forum will be held 6 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 22, at the Tahlequah Armory Municipal Center Auditorium, 100 N. Water Ave. The Tahlequah City Council candidate forum, which is also sponsored by the Go Ye Breakfast Club, will be held at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 29, at the Go Ye Village Richardson Hall, 1201 W. Fourth St. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend and participate. Candidates will be given issues to debate, and will also be taking questions from the community. The city election is Tuesday, Feb. 10.
