The Chief Minister of Kerala Shri Oommen Chandy will inaugurate KTM 2014, the eighth edition of the Kerala Travel Mart, on 17th Sep’14 at Le Meridien Convention Centre, Cochin. The function will begin with a cultural extravaganza at 7 p.m. followed by the formal inauguration. Shri Shripad Yesso Naik, Minister for Tourism, Govt. of India will be the Chief Guest while Shri A.P.Anil Kumar – Minister for Tourism, Govt of Kerala, will preside over the function. 242 International Buyers and 750 Domestic Buyers have confirmed their participation. The Appointment schedules between the Buyers and the Sellers will be finalized in a few days. The Samudrika Convention Centre, Willingdon Island, Cochin is being geared up to accommodate 256 stalls of various sizes. The premises will have a Village theme as well as highlight Kerala as an important wedding destination. The venue will be inaugurated at 09.30 a.m. on 18th Sep’14 and the business hours is from 10 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. on all the days. 04 seminars will be organized during the 03 days of the Mart. Shri. Parvez Dewan IAS, Secretary-Tourism, Govt. of India, will be the Chief Guest at the valedictory function on 20th Sep’14. Entry is for registered participants only. There is no spot registration. Visitors are welcome from 12 noon to 5.30 p.m. on 20th Sep’14. The entry is free of charge.
