The Childrens Shelter would like to notify everyone we had a small electrical fire occur this morning at 8:30AM at our Cedar Office location, which houses our Compadre Y Compadre program. Immediately, our Compadre staff called 911 and fire crews quickly contained the fire in the kitchen. No clients were present and all staff in the building quickly evacuated the premises. No injuries occurred and the building is currently being inspected by fire and food inspectors and an electrician.
